Spires Media’s award-winning campaign video to end the illegal trafficking of the endangered Javan Slow Loris was awarded first prize in the ZGAP Clip Award 2016.

The project featured West End star and author Carrie Hope Fletcher and highlighted the plight of these incredibly rare animals.

Filmed in the mountains of West Java at the beginning of 2016, Spires Media captured the nocturnal activities of the world’s only known venomous primate as well as the human interaction with the indigenous farmers of Indonesia.

The leading German wildlife charity ZGAP were so impressed with the film’s entry into their annual competition that they doubled the 1,000 euros prize money and awarded 2,000 euros to The Little Fireface Project, the charity that commissioned the film, to help it continue its vital work in Indonesia.
